The Kosovo/Austrian mezzo-soprano Flaka Goranci iniciates herpiano studies before changing to her major in operatic singing. She obtained her bachelor degree at the Music Academy of Tirana in Albania, master studies followed at the Buchmann-Mehta-School of Music in Tel Aviv, Israel, from where she graduated.

 

At the age of22 yearsshe made her operatic debut with the role of Rosina in “Il Barbiere di Siviglia”, at the Albanian State Opera.

Eversince, the albanian mezzo-soprano has worked with distinguished conductors suchas Nicolaus Harnoncourt, Gustav Kuhn, Ulrich Windfuhr, Erwin Ortner, Pawel Poplawski, Enrico Delamboye, Manfred Mayrhofer, Vittorio Parisi andopera directors such as Uwe Eric Laufenberg, Stephen Lawless, Andreas Zogg, Ulrich Schulz, Carlos Wagner, Niv Hoffman, Dani Ehrlich, Nikolin Gurakuqi and Michal Grover Friedlander.

 

Flaka Goranci is a winner of the Hildegard Zadek Scholarship (Hilde Zadek, Austrian KS) Foundation and has performed inprestigious tienesse venues such as Theater an der Wien, Gläserner Saal Musikverein, Vienna Konzerthaus, MuTh, atStefaniensaal in Grazand at the Vatroslav Lisinski.

In Israel, Albania and Austria she appearedin roles such as Cherubino ''Le nozze di Figaro, Dorabella in “Cosi fan tutte”, Dido in “Dido and Aeneas” and Die Mutter in ''Der Jasager'' K. Weill. (See performed roles list below).

 

Flaka Goranci produced and sang her first CD-Album ‘’Albanian Flowers’’with newly arranged folk Albanian songs, accompanied bythe“Dielli” Ensemble, conformedalso by Vienna Philharmonic musicians. The album was released under the Label Gramola in Vienna 2015.
